2024 Z06 GT3.R Era Begins

The new Corvette Z06 GT3.R racing program is taking shape for 2024.   Here's what we know so far:

  • Pratt Miller will field #3 and #4 cars in IMSA's GTD-Pro class beginning at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.  The drivers will be Garcia, Milner, Nicky Catsburg, and Alexander Sims
  • Canadian AWA team led by Andrew Wojteczko will campaign in the IMSA GTD class with technical support from Pratt Miller.
  • British TF Sport announced a switch from Aston Martin to Corvette machinery in 2024, running a pair of Z06 GT3.Rs in the LMGT3 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
  • DXDT Racing plans to have two Corvette Z06 GT3.R race cars for part of the 2024 GT World Challenge America season

Ominous Motorsports has compiled the most complete database of Corvette racing statistics, covering 526 starts to-date, spanning 25 years of competition in IMSA/FIA WEC/ALMS including 127 victories and 317 podium finishes.  The factory-backed C8-R platform completes its fourth season, accumulating 21 victories this far including the 2023 class victory at Lemans.

Since 1956, Corvettes have achieved an amazing 16 class victories at LeMans, 9 victories at Daytona (including 1 overall win in 2001), and 22 victories at Sebring.   The C5-R still ranks as the most dominant era for Corvette Racing, winning 55 times in 105 starts (64% rate) from 1999 to 2004.
